Those items we were given have rather interesting powers, but at this point I'd just accept that he's an annoyance instead of thinking it was a stone, since the stones don't last that long.

Regardless of whether it's real or a curse, he's lucky that gege was there - but that interruption shouldn't have happened. We have too much going on.

[ clementine is still just exploring the new area for the week, but. a sheriff's office seems like a pretty cool place to check out. he will probably notice her habitual tap against the window, then a pause before she enters the building.

old habits die hard. and hm, there sure are bubbles floating around inside this building that she is - momentarily - side stepping. but she does not seem terribly concerned about them, either... ]

We'll see how it turns out. But best to keep the two of us as far from each other as possible, until we know if it does wear off.

[ The tap gets his attention, and Hua Cheng glances, waits, watches as she enters. He can take a few guesses at why she does it, considering it seems to be a cautionary move, but he doesn't ask. Just taps his knuckles against the calendar. ]

I haven't checked the desk or upstairs, but we have some cells in the back and apparently a date.

Kind of weird. I haven't had a date in a long time.

[ she does not think about how that? sounds like a different sentence? because he has the context IT'S FINE. but she mostly tells time in passing seasons and by the weather. ]

[ He pauses, because he does catch the out of context mishap that could be, but instead just snorts and flips through the calendar. ]

To be fair, I don't know what any of these - months? - might be. We have a similar twelve month system, but I don't think the dates match up as well.

Huh. They're the months and days I'm used to, but... I usually don't get a calendar. I just go by seasons.
